ES Standards Based Grade Book (5 Achievement Levels)
This grade book is set up for Elementary School teachers who teach several courses with the same roster of kids. There is space for 6 different subjects, 50 students and it is customizable for the different subjects that you teach and standards that you need to track and assess.
This grade book is based on 5 levels of achievement (Attempting, Developing, Progressing, Meeting, and Exceeding). Please note, you can change the labels but all formulas are using 5 levels. If you only need 4 levels, check out this grade book.
For every assignment, you choose the standard and whether it is formative or summative. You can repeat assignments if you are assessing multiple standards on one assignment/activity/assessment.
You can view class trends to know if you need to work on a topic/standard more and you can also view individual student performance on individual standards. The student view will show:
All formative and summative data for that standard
An average of all data for that standard
An average of just the summative data for that standard
A trend of the student's performance over time with summative data highlighted for easier analysis.
This grade book gives you multiple summary statistics of the standard for the student to use in conjunction with what you know about the student, to help you determine their final level for that standard.
There is a tab with instructions on how to use the grade book and also this video that walks you through all the features and helps you set up and use your grade book.
BONUS: Also included is a tab with a printable grade sheet so if it is easier for you to have that in hand as you walk around your class and enter data into the grade book later, you have that flexibility. The names from your roster will automatically be populated into the pdf.
This grade book is set up for use with Google Sheets and may not function properly in Excel or Numbers.
